Even trying to enable the battery monitor in the system tray, it doesn't show up.
Maybe there's something related to the tickets #10012 and #9839

Hey Sérgio! Which tickets do you think this is related to? I don't see a link and I don't see tickets with those numbers in our database.

I found them searching for "LXDE battery".

Oh I see now. PC-BSD should be displaying a battery monitor for you although it may not be the LXDE default one. Is there no battery monitor at all?

I try to add it to the tray, it is added to the list, but nothing is displayed. When I take a look at its options, they are all empty. (I'm not sure its related somehow.)

The battery plugin was disabled in the port for a while, but should be available in the EDGE package set now. If it still fails on the upcoming 10.0.2, please let us know.

I can't confirm so far. I updated yesterday on the EDGE package set, but the symptoms remain the same: adding the battery monitor applet to the LXDE system tray does nothing, and the applet's options are all empty or zero.
