Description

Hello,

when I wanted to watched certain video (http://vimeo.com/84661077) using midori-0.5.6_1 browser I noticed that I get report that it can't be viewed with my current setup.

Running midori from the terminal reveals the problem:

gour  atmarama  ~  $ midori

(process:51173): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
	Using the fallback 'C' locale.

(midori4:51163): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'bookmark-new' for stock: Icon 'bookmark-new' not present in theme

(midori4:51163): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'user-trash' for stock: Icon 'user-trash' not present in theme

(gst-plugin-scanner:51193): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/local/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstffmpeg.so': /usr/local/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstffmpeg.so: Undefined symbol "ff_deinterlace_line_mmx"

which seems to be packaging bug?

Sincerely,
Gour

Just to report that 0.5.7 built from the ports does not have this problem, but the video is still not playable. :-(

  • Resolution set to 3rdpartybug
  • Status changed from new to closed

This sounds like it might be a problem upstream then if the newer version does not report the same gstreamer error, but still cannot play the video.

It might be that there is something special about that video/site that Midori does not like, and contacting either the Midori developers or the FreeBSD port maintainer is the way to go.
