Cinnamon Screensaver Lock Password Issue

Reported by: vdubgeek Owned by: ken
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: System Configuration Version: 10.1-RELEASE
Keywords: Cc: trac-bugs@…

Description

I updated to 10.1, and installed Cinnamon 2 which has been largely stable. However, I discovered that if I allow the screensaver to lock, I'm unable to un-lock. Screensaver lock will not accept my password, indicating it's incorrect.

Just realized I specified the wrong pc-bsd version. This should actually be 10.0-Release (10.0.1)

I'm able to reproduce the issue in a fresh install of 10.0.1 . Gnome-Screensaver does not appear to have this issue, it seems to be limited to cinnamon-screensaver .

If I run cinnamon-screensaver in debug mode, I see the following PAM errors:

Sounds like an issue with the Cinnamon implementation on FreeBSD. We just updated the cinnamon port to the latest available from the porting team, so this might be fixed already.

Would you mind retesting once the new package set comes out with the Cinnamon updates? I think the new set should be coming out next week sometime.

Sure thing, I'll test as soon as it's available.

Thanks
