Description

I had a lot of trouble trying to install pcbsd because it would not show the partition that I wanted to install on. After going into a forum I learned that pcbsd only installs on primary and not logical partitions.
Please include a reminder in the installation routine that pcbsd will ONLY install on primary and NOT logical partitions...and it would not be a bad idea to also describe the difference between a primary and logical partition for those who do no know.
If you want pcbsd to become popular then normal people will have to be able to install it with a minimum of fuss and confusion. People want to install something without having to go into forums to dig up information on why it is not installing. Assume that the average Joe installing pcbsd knows next to nothing and will have to be taken by the hand thru the process. I think that you cannot be too explicit.
I also know that this is much more difficult than simply adding text but if you could include a utility to convert logical to primary partitions...and even repatition that would be great.
Thank you,
Kirk

Quote from the 'Quick Tips' page of the installer:

"If you want to dual-boot with another operating system, you will need to select one of the primary partitions to continue."
