Custom Partition Leads to Fail

Description

Pretty easy to replicate with this one. I'm using 7.1.1-x86, and a dual core PC with a 500G drive and a DVD. Using the DVD install, I select "whole drive" and "custom partition". I note that it selects all but 500meg as the space for / and 500 meg for swap. I decrease the / by 4 gig and increase the swap to fill that space.

Then I start the install. I don't know how big it makes /, but the install fails for lack of space on / (I can see this on the console screen if I flip to it).
