Thanks for the tip. I had elected to use the latest nVidia binary (nicely included), which works flawlessly. I'll admit I've never played with beryl/compiz before but the 3d desktop is nice. I dunno if the reverse engineered open-source driver is interesting to me. I'm not looking to run OpenBSD here. ;-)
Sure. All I'm suggesting is that "Emergency Console" may have the wrong connotation, perhaps "Emergency Fail-safe Menu" or even "Troubleshooting Options", and then include a another text submenu in emergency with some quick tips (e.g. "5. Last Resort: PC-BSD Installation FAQ/howto").
Some other new users may not have multiple computers available to get online and check into things while they are installing. Any text made available for quick tips/guides while your machine is tied up with the install CD is a bonus, imho. Thanks again!
