That is odd, did you do an upgrade from 8.0-RC or a fresh install? If you open "konsole", type in "echo $LANG" what is it set to?

Also, try closing the tray, and running from konsole:

Does it echo "Locale: " something?

  • Version changed from 8.0-RC to 8.0-RC2

i made fresh czech install 8.0-RC2 in Vmware Workstation 7.0.1, whole setup is czech, all other apps are czech, but only SystemUpdater? is in enlish

and value for "echo $LANG " is "en_US.UTF-8"

and after run /PCBSD/SystemUpdater/bin/SystemUpdaterTray
locate is "en"

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Ahh, got it, fixed in SVN:

You can see the translations in Czech by editing /etc/login.conf, and looking for lang=en_US and changing it to lang=cs_CZ, then save it and run "cap_mkdb /etc/login.conf" the next time you login, it should show up in the right language :)
