Partition problems

Reported by: mzimmi Owned by: kris
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: Installer Version: 8.0-BETA
Keywords: Partitioning problem Cc: trac-bugs@…

Description

Hi.

I installed 2 times PC BSD 8.0 on the same seagate hard disk 1TB.
I specified a length for 100MB for a primary partition to install PC-BSD. Each time the installation didn't take account of this limit but reserved the whole rest of the disk for PC BSD. So in this case 700 MB (i have a 300MB Windows installation at the beginning of the disc). This happened twice, and i'm sure i did nothing wrong. There is no utility around to shrink a BSD partition, so this is very bad!

Can you re-test this with 8.1-BETA1?

Also, 100MB is way too small to load the OS, do you mean GB?

Closing due to inactivity. This should be fixed in 8.1 though :)
