installation: freezes on macbook pro

Description

Nothing fancy, I just started installation (I let install dvd run) and at the step:
acpi0: <APPLE Apple00> on motherboard

it freezes. This was the last message displayed.

Read my comment on bug #331 and try the suggested there.

This should no longer be an issue in 9.0. Reopen the ticket if it is.
