Description
Hi, I'm getting the following panic when booting distrbution DVD to install PC BSD 8.1-RC1:
panic: resource_list_alloc: resource entry is busy
on Marvell SATA controller. The same box runs FreeBSD 7.3 just fine.
I belive it's identical to:

A patch for this problem is available in to PR database:
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=kern/145064
Will it be included in the PC BSD 8.1 release?

If the fix made it into the 8.1 codebase for FreeBSD then yes, PC-BSD will include it :)
Otherwise you'll need to grab a 8-Stable / 8.2 snapshot post 8.1 release.

For your reference, the patch was not included in 8.1 release and thus the final PCBSD 8.1 panics on install on my machine.

Yea, sounds like the same bug to me. This will have to be fixed with the marvell driver on FreeBSD before we can get the fix as well.
If it still fails in 8.1-Release, you may want to send some details over to this list as well:
