Description
Install failed while trying to install FreeBSD from the PC-BSD installation GUI. File pc-sysinstall.log is attached to this ticket.

This happens as well trying to install 8.0 RELEASE, but since I couldn't get the network up I couldn't transfer the log file.

This is from the DVD image correct? You didn't use the "bootonly" image right? The error specifically looks like it can't find the system installation archive.

This is from the full DVD image. Same error happens with 8.0 trying to install both Free-BSD and PC-BSD.

One more thing that may or may not help since both 8.1 and 8.0 failed installation; both were burned from the same system; a MacBook? running the latest version of Mac OS X.

The current install from da0 seems to have issues with acpi, try installing with acpi disabled.

Closing ticket as these should be fixed in 9.0-RELEASE. Please reopen with install log if the install still fails.
