What should happen: nothing. Conky should stay right where it is, happily reporting away.
Whad does happen: conky disappears behind the desktop. ps will show it's still running.

Fix: in /Programs/conky/etc/conky/conky.conf, change

{{{own-window-type desktop}}}

to

{{{own-window-type normal}}}

As this is a pretty minor bug, I took the opportunity to make my first attempt at a patch file. Please let me know if it works or not. I used {{{diff -crB new.file old.file > file.patch}}}

BTW, just installed version 8.2. Trac does not reflect current PC-BSD version (8.2). My bug report here should be Version = 8.2, Milestone should be something greater than 8.2",System Defect,closed,minor,8.2,System Configuration,8.1,fixed,conky configuration desktop,trac-bugs@…
