This is a feature I want to make work with the backup / restore feature. I would love to enable a ghost-like "cloning" feature in it. It will probably first be available starting with PC-BSD 2

There are many new options in the 8.x installer which makes this a reality now. If you need a specific feature in the future though, please let us know.
