646,Stand-By doesn't work at all,Boug,,"I use PC-BSD 9.0 x86 on a Desktop PC equipped with an ASUS P5KPL-AM motherboard (Intel G31 chipset) and an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT video card (G92 GPU). My video card uses the NVIDIA proprietary driver, version 290.10.

The ""Sleep"" and functionality is proposed into the main menus of GNOME 2 and KDE 4, so apparently this might work (in Linux, when it appears, it normally works). So I've decided to give it a try.

The system effectively stands-by, but unlike Linux, I'm obliged to wake-up the system by pressing the PC On/Off button instead of simply hit a random key on the keyboard.

The big problem occurs when the OS wakes-up : in fact, it never wakes-up, the screen remains all black and the hard disk rotates continuously (I've seen my HDD LED illuminated during 10 minutes before manually resetting the PC).

There is also a problem with hibernation, too. But as it's a different thing, I'll do a seperate ticket on that.",System Defect, closed, critical,,System Configuration,9.0-RELEASE,fixed,stand-by sleep black screen hard disk,trac-bugs@…
