Description
I tried to install PCBSD 9.1 RC2 on my lenovo y570 from the USBLITE image, and it worked fine (hung up for three minutes on boot, but pushed through), except for the fact that when I tried to boot it up, it made it to a screen featuring a fluxbox bar, and nothing else. it didn't respond when I right or left clicked, it just got these green streaks on it.

the actual usb installer worked. it was the installed system on the laptop that messed up. I tried installing it with the dvd, and the installer booted up just fine and installed, but when I tried to boot off the disk, it gets to the point of activating the X server, when it reboots instead of succeeding.

Sounds like a driver corruption causing display issues? It could also be a slow USB disk read causing it to go a bit quirky. Can you test the DVD installer, does it boot normally?
