pc-thinclient doesn't work on 9.1-RC*.

Description
Tried performing the pc-thinclient script as a desktop on RC1 and RC2. Each time, it got hung up due to trying to build X. The main reason for this seems to be an issue with the transition from pkg-config to pkgconf and the version checking that goes on.
(I could not find this issue mentioned anywhere. I'm going back to 9.0-RELEASE to see if the problem exists there as well.)
