Description

New life preserver is currently non-functional. Please close this ticket once it's fixed and I can resume testing.

Upon starting life preserver gui does run but throws up font errors. After this if i try to start it again i get the same errors, but no gui pop up.

Reference email - Life preserver testing

Getting this error in the console after running the lp gui. Is this an issue? Also lifepreserver did initially open, but now when i type (sudo ./life-preserver sudo ./life-preserver) the program shows the below output and then does not open for me. Is it hiding somewhere? I tried to alt tab to it, but it was not showing as an open program. I'm going to bring Kris into this so he can see the testing dialogue as well.

  • Resolution set to worksforme
  • Status changed from new to closed

The fontconfig errors/warnings are just cosmetic at the moment. The FreeBSD port for fontconfig is undergoing a lot of maintenace while they switch formats, so these messages are expected until that all gets resolved (hopefully here soon).

One other note: Since you are already root on your box (<path>#) you do not need to use "sudo" to start the application.

I have it working on 3 systems here without this problem, so I am going to recommend that you update your source tree and rebuild the application to see if this is still an issue.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
