#784 closed System Defect (fixed)

Could not start D-Bus error on login

Reported by: helix Owned by: kris
Priority: minor Milestone:
Component: System Configuration Version: 9.2-RELEASE
Keywords: d-bus, dbus Cc: trac-bugs@…

Description

When new user is created via PCBSD Control Panel, the first login attempt displays Error window "Could not start D-Bus. Can you call qdbus?".
Problem is that /home/user/.dbus folder is owned by root. Chowning that directory to user solves problem.

Confirming, can't replicate it on 10.0-RELEASE. I used KDE on 9.2 when this was an issue.
