#841 closed System Defect (invalid)

Syntax error in auto-generated /boot/grub/grub.cfg.new due to '\t' characters at beginning of lines

Reported by: baitisj Owned by: kris
Priority: critical Milestone: 9.2
Component: System Configuration Version: 9.2-RELEASE

When updating my boot configuration, I noticed that several lines of /usr/local/etc/grub.d/10_kfreebsd include lines such as the following:

| sed -e "s/^/\t/"

This results in a 't' character placed in the beginning of applicable lines in /boot/grub/grub.cfg.new.

Obviously the author wanted to add "tab" characters.

I'm not sure this applies to us. We ship an "empty" 10_kfreebsd and use 10_ktrueos instead, which doesn't have those sed statements.
