The default accounts are intended for everyday use. If you are setting up accounts for other people on your PC, it should provide them standard accounts.
The standard accounts do not have privileges to install and remove programs. Can be password protected.
The default accounts are not administrators or superusers. But you can install or remove programs when the user is the administrator and you have the root password.
The default account is intended to prevent unauthorized removal or application installation or alteration of system operation.
