dolphin file permission problem with usb flash drive

When using a flash drive formatted with fat32 with dolphin each file copied to it complains that the permissions can't be set. Files copy successfully it just brings up a box where the user has to click ok for each file.

This seems to be a known issue.

But perhaps there is a preference somewhere to turn it off.

I can't seem to find any way to disable this behaviour in KDE/Dolphin.

One simple workaround is to use an alternate file manager, but I have also heard that mounting the device within the user's home directory (so the mountpoint has user permissions) also gets rid of these notifications.

If this is true, the planned move of the Mount Tray to running with user permissions might get rid of this issue in the future (Ticket #934).
