Manual fix/update GUI Mode:

1) PC-BSD Control Panel - Package Manager
2) From Package Manger menu select View - Advanced (All Packages) option
3) From display of packages select section: textproc/
4) From textproc section select: en-hunspell

The CLI way, in KDE dektop. In your sys. console type:
sudo pc-pkgmanager
Then follow steps 2-4,as above, in GUI :)

Notes:

en-hunspell provides English spelling dictionary/spelling checker, in KDE, for kate and kwrite, text editors

After fresh installation the Package Manager indicates that "hunspell" is installed. The package description indicates that "hunspell" is "Improved spell checker for Hungarian and other languages. Tho, en-hunspell (English spelling dictionary) is not installed, by default.

Moreover, "en-aspell", which I also installed and test it, did not provide(English spelling dictionary) support in KDE.
