AppCafe and Life Preserver working together for safer package installation/updating

I love the new changes the PC-BSD team have made with 10.0.2! The new AppCafe? has taken a big step forward -- I am definitely a supporter of what you've done. In the past, I rarely used PBIs because there were not that many of them and they were often old versions. Opening AppCafe? up to the FreeBSD packages is super. I am now actually using it to "push-button install" software.
I realize there has been controversy about PBIs -- with a number of people worried about software dependency problems without the container.
Perhaps one way forward is to let AppCafe? notify Life Preserver to take a snapshot just before it begins to install software -- and make a notation on that snapshot that it was taken just prior to installing package "x". Then if you have any problems, you can just go to Life Preserver and set it back to the state before you installed package "x".
